NHK World is the international broadcasting service of NHK (Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai - Japan Broadcasting Corporation), Japan's public broadcaster. The service is aimed at the overseas market, similar to BBC World News, Press TV, DW-TV, France 24 and Russia Today, and broadcast through satellite and cable operators throughout the world.

NHK World provides three services: NHK World Radio Japan, NHK World TV, and NHK World Premium. NHK World also makes most of its programming available through an online version of the television channel.

NHK commenced international TV broadcasting services for North America and Europe in 1995. On April 1, 1998, NHK World Television started broadcasting. NHK's news and information channel broadcasts internationally via satellite and cable TV. Programming is broadcast in English.

It began as a news channel in February 2009 using the traditional NHK World logo in their own digital on-screen graphic (DOG). Previously, NHK World TV used the traditional "3 Eggs" logo of NHK. The NHK World DOG in the news program, Newsline, is on the bottom left corner of the television screen.

In other programming, the DOG is moved to the top left corner of the television screen. Some of the shows are produced by production studio JIB TV which is 60% owned by NHK with the remaining 40% owned by private investors like Microsoft and Japanese bank Mizuho. MSNBC (stylized as msnbc) is a cable news and information channel based in the United States available in the US, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East and Canada. Its name was derived from the most common abbreviations for Microsoft and the National Broadcasting Company.

MSNBC and msnbc.com were founded in 1996 as partnerships of Microsoft and General Electric's NBC unit, which is now NBCUniversal. The online partnership of msnbc.com ended on July 16, 2012 and the site was rebranded as NBCNews.com. MSNBC shares the NBC logo of a rainbow peacock with its sister channels NBC, CNBC, NBC Sports Network, and ShopNBC.

Fox News Channel (FNC), often called Fox News or "Fox", is a cable and satellite television news channel owned by the Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of News Corporation. As of April 2009, the channel is available to 102 million households in the United States and further to viewers internationally, broadcasting primarily out of its New York studios.

Magic 102.7(WMXJ) is a classic hits music formatted radio station that broadcasts from Miami Gardens, Florida. The station is owned by Lincoln Financial Media, which was previously known as Jefferson-Pilot Communications.

The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) is an American television network. Created in 1943 from the former NBC Blue radio network, ABC is owned by The Walt Disney Company and is part of Disney-ABC Television Group. Its first broadcast on television was in 1948. GNN or Global News Network is a dedicated news and public affairs cable channel based in the Philippines. It broadcasts on channel 8 in Metro Manila via Global Destiny Cable TV, nationwide and some parts of Asia through Global Satellite TV (GSAT), and online via Ustream.tv. AksyonTV (English: Action TV) is a 24-hour non-stop news and sports-related television network in the Philippines. Owned and operated by ABC Development Corporation, it occupies the frequency previously used by MTV Philippines, a subsidiary of MTV Networks Asia Pacific and Nation Broadcasting Corporation.

AksyonTV is co-owned by Nation Broadcasting Corporation. It carries newscast, news analysis, news talk radio, documentary talk shows and sports news with special focus on Philippine current affairs. AksyonTV is available in most parts of the Philippines via its relay and affiliate stations, as well as cable, satellite and Internet. It is free-to-air for all viewers in Metropolitan Manila through local UHF channel 41 and UHF channel 29 for Cebu and Davao. It started broadcasting on February 21, 2011. It was announced in early 2011 that it would launch an international channel to support AksyonTV’s local presence. Basketball TV or BTV is a 24-hour all-basketball cable channel in the Philippines owned by the Solar Entertainment Corporation. It was launched on October 1, 2006, rebranding the Sports Plus channel.

The channel focuses more on showing NBA TV related programs and also regular NBA games once the season begins. In its initial broadcasts, it has been showing re-runs of the 2006 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament and the 2006 FIBA World Championship.

Aside for the NBA games, it also shows coverage of the Euroleague and the National Basketball League as well as FIBA related programming and the 2006 Asian Games and 2008 Olympic Games basketball competitions. The 2007 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament was shown on BTV including the championship game, as well as the 2008 tournament.

Aside for its foreign coverage, BTV was the official carrier of the Philippine Basketball League from April 2007 after gaining the rights from Studio 23. However, the coverage is on a slightly delayed basis at 5:00 PM. In late-2007, the second matchup of a Tuesday gameday is shown on RPN 9 but has since moved to IBC-13[citation needed] on Saturdays at the onset of the season-ending conference because RPN became the exclusive broadcast carrier of C/S. However the PBL was moved back to C/S 9 in November 2008, showing the first game on Tuesday. As of 2010, the PBL is inactive.

It also covered the Collegiate Champions League tournaments, and in the past saw a few National Capital Region Athletic Association and National Basketball Conference matches.

From 2008-2011, the Philippine Basketball Association was also shown on BTV, although on delay and only one game per day, with the live games aired on RPN and later Studio 23.

The channel is available throughout Metro Manila through SkyCable and is also available nationwide via Cignal and G-Sat satellite TV, as well as online via iwantv.com.ph (exclusively available for SkyBroadband and Bayan DSL subscribers).

Solar Sports or the Solar Sports Network is a 24-hour Philippine sports channel owned by Solar Entertainment Corporation. The channel was launched on January 1, 1994 and is available for G Sat, Cablelink and various minor cable subscribers. It is also available on Global Destiny Cable. Dream Satellite TV ceased operation as of February 2009. Starting June 1, 2010 Solar Sports will now return on SkyCable.

The channel is known for showing sports that are familiar to the Filipinos. Its main programming are the NBA games, which are shown either a game or a doubleheader each day during the season. Other NBA programming includes shows produced by NBA TV, such as the NBA's Greatest Games and WNBA games during the league's off-season. It also shows the American Super Bowl. It is also the Filipino provider of the Olympic Games.

Telenovela Channel (informally abbreviated TNC) or TeleNovela Channel is a telenovela-based cable channel network in the Philippines owned by Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. with the partnership of Televisa. The channel operates non-stop 24/7.

It is the first and only soap opera channel in Tagalog and English. It aired its first test broadcast from August to September 2011; regular broadcast started in October 2011. First in Asia, the channel will afford viewers the chance to watch their favorite Televisa-produced Mexican soap operas anytime of the day.

The Telenovela Channel has been made possible through a partnership between Beginnings at Twenty Plus, Inc. and Televisa, which is the exclusive producer of telenovelas for this channel. Programs are dubbed in 2 languages (Tagalog and English audio).
